A road legal buggy is known for its capabilities off road but not many people realise how good they are to drive on road. At MuddyBuggies we have a few members developing bike engined buggies and all I can say is that they are going to be awesome. With the light weight chassis and the light powerplant they will be quick! [slideshow id=2] [nggallery id=2] … [Read more...]
Freestyle Photo Gallery
The Freestyle kit car is by far my favourite road buggy, ok so I may be a little biassed but you have to admit that these little buggies look awesome, they handle like a go kart and because of their simplicity its easy to say that they can be built by almost anybody. The Freestyle is however a pretty difficult kit car to find and so we have to cherish teh ones we do have. [album id=1 template=extend] … [Read more...]

Danny’s Road Buggy Re-Build Diary Page 4
13th January 2008 Today after recovering from small hangover I made my way back from Twickenham and thankfully the traffic was not too bad! Yesterday we drove to Dorset to pick up my 1380cc engine from Harris Motorsport. Myself and my friend Ben went to the garage where the buggy is stored and we dropped a bag of plaster on the ground just in front of the back of the van so that if the engine did drop unexpectedly it would not do any damage. … [Read more...]

19th February 2008 For the last few days I have been painting and prepping bits for the rear suspension set up. I also fitted the engine to the subframe with the help of my little sis. The bell housing end of the engine was a simple procedure getting the mount in but the timing chain end was a real pig and took over an hour of swear and throwing things but its in. As you will notice from the pictures below I have actually fitted the engine to … [Read more...]

It was originally created by Dave Sewell of well-known chassis firm Fibreform (Ginetta among others), before passing on to a very temporary home with Specialist Sports Cars. After a short while GRP specialists ABS took over and actually sold quite a lot of … [Read more...]

Newark Kit Car Show 2006
The day before the show I was just doing some small repairs to buggy from the Poland trip. I had to re wire my siren and fix a broken wire for the indicators. All this was easily done and all that was left to do was a bit of polishing and by 7 in the evening I was ready. I told Simon Brown that I would not even be able to leave for the show until mid day due to wanting to spend some time with the girlfriend. so at 11 o'clock I snuck out and made … [Read more...]
